What people are saying…

 WhatPeopleAreSayingabout working with Michelle…

Michelle has supported the Torres Strait Regional Authority’s Land and Sea Management Unit (LSMU) since early 2009 by facilitating our annual planning forums.  Michelle has seen the growth of the Unit from 20 or so staff to approximately 70 today, and has taken us on an amazing journey of reflection, planning and bonding as a team.

Michelle’s ability to work with the energy in the group, to distil key issues and priorities, and to depict things visually, has been very effective in the cross-cultural and dynamic environment in which we work.  Michelle has also supported professional development opportunities for our staff, including Indigenous staff members, by providing training in facilitation techniques and tools, and co-facilitation of forums by LSMU staff. We have no hesitation in recommending Michelle in any circumstances where a group requires a dynamic, engaging, democratic, flexible, energetic and creative facilitation style, to get the best value out of a forum and its participants, and to achieve outcomes that a group feels a true sense of ownership over.

– Damian Miley, Manager, Land & Sea Management Unit, TSRA

The words I’d use to describe the facilitation services Michelle provides through Curious Minds Co. are: professional, value and unique… And for Michelle’s work – focused and strategic.

The three words I’d use to describe the facilitation services Michelle provides through Curious Minds Co.  are: professional, value and unique… And the three words for Michelle’s work – focused, intense and strategic.

Rik Whitehead, Regional Director, NSW DPI

Michelle has given me an understanding of the tools and materials for my visual thinking practice and how I can use these tools for my current work. It’s been excellent. I am very excited at the prospect of using the techniques I learnt from Michelle to communicate my research.

Michelle is a generous host and teacher. I appreciated the experiential nature of the course and the energy she generated in the group. As a professional communicator it has really opened my mind and I believe it will deepen my facilitation practice. Michelle has given me confidence through her tools, practices and the knowledge she has shared. I am just beginning my graphics practice and it’s been great to have Michelle’s frameworks to anchor it at the start.

I enjoyed the course. It gave me the confidence and a sense of grounding some of the things I am already doing. There were great take away resources that I’ll be able to look back on especially the start of my library of visual icons.
